During the winter break, Future LWH enjoyed meeting the NYU Women's Basketball team and learning about ways to succeed as student athletes. Special thanks to the team for inspiring future generations of Ladies Who Hoop!


In February, LWH hosted Université Paris for an exhibition game vs. LWH NYC to kickoff next month's celebration of women in sports. LWH also launched Back2Basics, a free basketball bootcamp to help get women reacquainted with the game.


In March, LWH introduced Queen of the Court, a weekly 1 on 1 tournament where participants battle to claim the crown! LWH also hosted a special Women's HERstory event on March 23rd. QOTC Championship takes place on March 22nd.


In April, Future LWH attended a women in sports media event at Sacred Heart University with ESPN’s Patricia Betron & Jen Lada. LWH also partnered with 180 E. 88th Street for a basketball-themed fundraiser.


In May, Future LWH attended a WNBA open practice with the New York Liberty and met WNBA All-Star, Tina Charles. LWH also hosted a pre-draft event for the LWH Classic Summer Tournament.


In June, Future LWH celebrated their collective achievements including seven honor roll/scholar athlete awards and several team awards (as voted by the players) during a special team ceremony.


In July, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer visited OTC Campers at PS 84 and Future LWH attended EMPOWER HER night hosted by Billie Jean King at USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Queens.


In August, LWH hosted the Annual Back2School Block Party at PS 84 and distributed backpacks and school supplies to local youth. LWH also appeared in a feature on the TODAY Show that aired August 16.


In September, LWH hosted "Ladies First" in partnership with Indoor Hoops and Lady Ballerzz, bringing three unique women's basketball communities together for a  3v3 charity event at Baruch College.


In October, Future LWH returned to the BTG winter league in Brooklyn. Open enrollment for LWH youth programming continues through November 2018.


In November, LWH & Future LWH participated in the documentary filming of Sisterhood - a film about women's basketball cultures in countries including Italy & Lebanon.


In December, LWH closed out the year with the last 2018 installment of Back 2 Basics Basketball Bootcamp, welcoming players from China, Australia, Germany & Jamaica!
