LWH | Stretch & Bobbito

On July 18, 2016, LWH founder, Amber "The Mayor" Batchelor and 2015 Full Court 21 women's division champion, Monét "MoeKnows" Sealy sat with NYC radio legends Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia to discuss the LWH movement and upcoming LWH events. LWH is an official supporter of Bobbito Garcia's Full Court 21 Tournament which takes place at 6pm on Tuesday evenings at the GOAT courts through August 23rd.

LARKS | DIITP

During a recent practice, LARKS Basketball got an unexpected visit from documentary film director and photographer, Kevin Couliau. The team also had the opportunity to be photograped by Kevin on their home court. Kevin's film, Doin' It In The Park, explores the history, culture, and social impact of summer basketball in NYC.

LWH | Jr. NBA

On May 9, 2016, LWH partnered with PE Basketball and the Jr. NBA to host an instructional basketball clinic for 200 girls from New York's five boroughs. Participants learned fundamental basketball skills from WNBA legends, Sue Wicks and Teresa Edwards, and even enjoyed a little dance party with  WNBA President, Lisa Borders.

LWH | OWN THE COURT

On July 16, 2016, LWH launched OWN THE COURT: A Basketball Camp for Girls to empower the next generation of Ladies Who Hoop. Camp participants enjoyed a fun–filled, instructional session, featuring an all–female coaching staff, special guest speakers and participant awards. The free camp takes place on Saturdays from 3pm - 6pm through the end of July.

LWH | Jordan Terminal 23

On June 5, 2016, LWH Classic Tournament participants kicked off the summer season with a workout at Jordan Terminal 23 in midtown Manhattan. Join LWH at Sol Bloom Playground on the Upper West Side this summer as they showcase women's basketball to an enthusiastic community of basketball fans of all ages.

LARKS | Jordan Terminal 23

On May 1, 2016, LARKS Basketball got some special treatment at Jordan Terminal 23 in midtown Manhattan. The team enjoyed playing video games at the game station, watching NBA playoff basketball on the lounge's big screen TV, and testing out the latest Jordan apparel and sneakers on a state of the art Jordan brand basketball court.

LWH | Mentorship

On April 9, 2016, LWH mentors and mentees participated in a leadership development workshop and basketball clinic hosted by Allan Houston and the New York Knicks. The workshop focused on character building, goal setting, developing healthy mentor/mentee relationships and the fundamentals of basketball.

On April 1, 2016, LWH launched a seasonal mentorship program in partnership with LARKS Basketball. The program encourages mentors and mentees to become meaningful contributors to their local communities through participation in various basketball-themed special events and community workshops.

LWH | NYC Parks

On March 26, 2016, LWH and LARKS Basketball participated in "She's On Point" - a celebration of girls in sports hosted by the New York Liberty and NYC Parks. The event showcased a number of activities including arts & crafts, dance performances and an instructional basketball clinic with New York Liberty stars, Tina Charles and Epiphany Prince.

On March 18, 2016, LWH hosted a Mother/Daughter Basketball Challenge in partnership with the Goddard Riverside Beacon Program. Contest winners received prizes courtesy of the New York Liberty, including autgraphed shirts from New York Liberty stars, Tina Charles and Epiphany Prince.
